Just within the past hour, a magnitude-6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Northern California's Eureka area. Occurring at a depth of 22 kilometers, this quake was followed shortly by another significant earthquake, registering a magnitude of 4.8 at a depth of 22 kilometers.

Additionally, swarms of earthquakes have been reported in various regions, including off the Oregon coast and in Mentone, Texas.
