Inter Milan have been crowned Serie A champions for the second time in three seasons after defeating AC Milan 2-1 in the Derby della Madonnina on Monday.
The victory at the San Siro gives Inter their 20th Scudetto, moving them one ahead of their city rivals in the all-time standings.
Inter had lost the title on the final day of the season in 2021-22 and finished third last season, but they have now regained their status as the top team in Italy.
Simone Inzaghi's side clinched the title with six games to spare thanks to a Lautaro Martinez penalty and a Federico Dimarco strike either side of Olivier Giroud's equaliser.
Inter's victory was all the more impressive considering they were without injured striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Serie A title is Inter's first since Antonio Conte led them to victory in 2020-21.
It is also the club's first major trophy since winning the Coppa Italia in 2022.
Inter's success this season is a testament to the work of Inzaghi, who has got his team playing with great attacking verve and defensive solidity.
The Nerazzurri have now won six consecutive derbies against their rivals and will be looking to extend that run when the two teams meet again in the Coppa Italia semi-final next month.
